Home and Ideas welcomes pitches about rooms, furniture, materials, lighting, and the practical decisions behind a home. We are interested in clear, original contributions that give readers a way to assess a real design question without relying on a shopping list or a single idealized room.
What to pitch
Propose a focused subject with a useful reader question at its center: for example, how to compare two room arrangements, what to check before choosing a surface, or which constraints matter when furnishing a small room. A pitch should explain the central point, the steps or examples you would use, and why the subject remains useful beyond a trend cycle.
What makes a strong contribution
Use specific, plain language and make the reasoning visible. Separate personal preference from general guidance, identify important limitations, and avoid unsupported product claims. Original writing and images are welcome when their source and permissions are clear. Please disclose relevant commercial interests or relationships.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to send a short pitch rather than a complete unsolicited article. Include a working title, a brief outline, the intended reader, and any relevant writing or image samples you can share. We cannot promise publication or a particular response time.
